Chhaava continues its strong box office performance, even on weekdays. On day 5 (Tuesday), the Vicky Kaushal-starrer earned over ₹25 crore in India, plus additional earnings from overseas, helping it cross ₹200 crore globally. According to Sacnilk, the film grossed ₹198.85 crore in India and ₹30 crore overseas, bringing its five-day total to ₹228.85 crore. This makes Chhaava the first Bollywood film to surpass ₹200 crore in 2025, and the highest-grossing Hindi film of the year so far, surpassing Sky Force’s ₹168 crore.

The film, a biopic of Maratha ruler Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, has performed exceptionally well in Maharashtra, where shows have sold out days in advance. In cities like Mumbai and Pune, occupancy remained over 90%, even on a weekday, with Pune reporting 70% occupancy on Tuesday.

Directed by Laxman Utekar, Chhaava also stars Akshaye Khanna as Emperor Aurangzeb, alongside Rashmika Mandanna, Vineet Kumar Singh, Ashutosh Rana, Neil Bhoopalam, and Diana Penty. Released on February 14, the film received mixed-to-positive reviews but garnered huge praise from audiences.
