On a live TV debate, Pakistani leaders punch and kick each other

After a heated debate on Express TV over political problems, Sher Afzal Khan Marwat of the PTI and Afnan Ullah Khan of the PML-N got into a fistfight. A leader of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and a prominent member of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) exchanged punches during a live discussion event, turning the TV studio of a Pakistani news channel into a battleground. A video of the altercation has since gone viral on social media.

According to reports, Imran Khan’s lawyer Sher Afzal Khan Marwat and PML-N senator Afnan Ullah Khan got into a physical altercation after getting into a heated disagreement on the “Kal Tak” show, presented by well-known Pakistani TV personality Javed Chaudhary on Express TV, about political topics.

According to Daily Pakistan, both leaders began referring to their respective senior officials as “boot chaat”.

The PML-N senator then charged PTI chairman Imran Khan with engaging in many wrongdoings, including secret meetings with military brass. As soon as the two leaders started bringing up each other’s families, the fight quickly became personal.

In the trending video, PTI’s Marwat can be seen standing up and unintentionally striking his rival in the head. The senator then stands up, slaps and kicks Marwat while pinning him to the ground somewhat away from the camera. They can see the crew members rushing to calm them.
