Bollywood actor Vicky Kaushal made a significant visit to the Mahakumbh 2025 in Prayagraj on Thursday, where he took a sacred dip at the Triveni Sangam, the revered confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati rivers in Uttar Pradesh. This spiritual journey was a momentous occasion for Vicky, who expressed his deep gratitude for the opportunity to be part of such a divine experience. Reflecting on the sacred visit, Vicky shared, “I am feeling good. I was waiting to visit Mahakumbh. I am fortunate as I got the opportunity to come here.”

The actor’s visit to the Mahakumbh comes ahead of the much-anticipated release of his upcoming film Chhaava. This historical epic is centered around the life of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, the son of the legendary Maratha ruler, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Directed by Laxman Utekar, the film also features Rashmika Mandanna and Akshaye Khanna in pivotal roles. Scheduled for release on February 14, 2025, Chhaava promises to offer a deep dive into the Maratha dynasty’s history and valor.

On the same day, the Uttar Pradesh government reported that over 1.47 million devotees took part in the holy ritual of bathing at the Triveni Sangam. Among these, 5 lakh were Kalpavasis (those who remain at the site for a month during the event), while 9.79 lakh were pilgrims attending the ongoing Mahakumbh. The grand festival continues to draw millions of visitors from all around the world, making it one of the largest religious gatherings globally.

As of February 12, 2025, the total number of devotees who have bathed in the sacred waters of the Triveni Sangam during this year’s Mahakumbh exceeded a staggering 482.9 million, marking a significant milestone in the event’s history.

Mahakumbh 2025, which began on Paush Purnima (January 13, 2025), is one of the world’s largest spiritual and cultural gatherings, attracting countless devotees seeking spiritual rejuvenation. The grand event will continue until Mahashivratri on February 26, further solidifying its reputation as an unparalleled celebration of faith and unity across the globe.
